The Sacrifice of X

In the near future, class divisions continue to deepen. The elite and a government organization establish Project Apocalypse through Hank Genetics, conducting extraordinary experiments on human subjects in pursuit of superhuman powers.

When the project fails, the company decides to eliminate every “failed test subject.”

X, however, is an accidental success. To escape execution, he begins a long and dangerous journey on the run. Along the way, he encounters other experimental subjects as well as ordinary people. By following these intertwined lives and clues, X uncovers an even more terrifying conspiracy behind the people controlling the project.

Age: 21

Identity: A genetically modified test subject from Hank Genetics’ Project Apocalypse.

Profile: The male protagonist and one of the project’s experimental subjects, known by the codename X. Naive, timid, and kindhearted, he is curious about everything in the world.

Mila

Age: 28

Profile: A purehearted young woman who has lived in the town of Hanks since childhood. Helpful, innocent, and kind, she enjoyed a peaceful and orderly life before meeting X. At first, his wounds and blood frighten her, but she soon realizes that he is as inexperienced as a blank page. As she teaches him what it means to live as a human being, their affection grows into an intimate relationship.

Dr. Ham

Age: 48

Profile: The deeply disturbed director of Project Apocalypse. Through the project, he discovers a way to control its results and acquire a unique consciousness-transfer ability, intending to establish and rule a new world order. He is X’s nemesis.
